Moderna has opened the doors to the Moderna Technology Centre - Melbourne (MTC-M), Australia's first commercial-scale vaccine manufacturing facility. This milestone strengthens national public health resilience and supports the local biotech ecosystem.
MTC-M is an onshore, rapid-response facility in the event of a pandemic, and in non-pandemic periods has been designed to produce a range of respiratory vaccines (subject to regulatory approvals). This agile and innovative capability has been built to serve Australians.
