February 2024: Key Dates and Temporary Changes

Welcome to the February 2024 News Burst for Moderna’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program! The News Burst series will be published every month to provide you with new program updates and any changes that may impact your ways of working with Moderna.

What is the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program?

As Moderna continues to grow, the system platform that supports the business processes also needed to scale to growth. This resulted in the start of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business transformation focusing on simplifying, standardizing, and digitizing Moderna’s core business processes to achieve growth objectives. Internally, we call this ERP project “Program Odyssey.”

Upcoming System Deployment: Key Dates and Activities

To ensure a smooth transition during our upcoming system transformation, we would like to inform you of some important dates and how they will affect our operations:

  1. March 18th – We will begin reducing activities in preparation for the system downtime

    - Purchase Orders: All purchase order activities will be suspended starting on this date.
    - Invoice Processing: While we will continue to accept invoices, we will not post any new invoices from this date until the end of the deployment period

  2. March 27th to April 1st – Full system outage

    - Shipments: There will be no shipments, including those to and from our distribution partners, during this period.
    - Payments: Any invoices that have been processed and approved by March 18th will be paid by March 27th.

  3. April 1st – Normal operations will resume

    - All activities put on hold, including purchase order processing and invoicing posting will restart.
