May 2024: Post Go-Live Ramp up and Resumption of Business Activities  


Welcome to the May 2024 News Burst for Moderna’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program! This will be the final installment in the monthly News Burst series, which was created to provide you with new program updates and any changes that may impact your ways of working with Moderna.

What is the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program? 

As Moderna grows, the systems and platforms supporting business operations also require the ability to scale for growth. This resulted in the start of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business transformation focusing on simplifying, standardizing, and digitizing Moderna’s core business processes to achieve growth objectives. Internally, we call this ERP project “Program Odyssey”.  

What to Expect: Post Go-Live and Resumption of Business Activities  

Since the April 1 go-live, the business activities mentioned in the April News Burst are continuing to ramp up and/or have fully resumed towards normal business operations.  

Moving forward, please continue to stay in contact your respective Moderna representatives for the following business activities, but not limited to: 

  • Purchase orders 

  • Invoice processing 

  • Shipments with CMOs, distribution partners, and/or vendors 

  • Sales orders through Moderna Customer Service 

  • Payments 

  • Planning through Moderna Planning Tool (MPT) 

  • Production for internal and external manufacturing operations 

  • External manufacturing with CMOs

Please note that this May News Burst will be the final update from the program team, with the website scheduled to be decommissioned in early June 2024.   For questions specific to your partnership and business processes, please email your current Moderna representative.
